About The Position
Green Mountain Support Services is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join their Specialized Care Team. This full-time role involves supporting two young adults with specialized needs in a 24/7 residential program in Lamoille County. The position offers exceptional training, hands-on mentoring, and continuous team support in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. The DSP will provide direct care to enhance autonomy, dignity, and community participation for individuals with complex care needs, including support with daily living, emotional regulation, diabetes care, and communication using alternative tools.

Responsibilities
- Promote autonomy, dignity, and personal choice in all settings
- Assist with activities of daily living including personal care and meal prep
- Support participation in community activities and social connection
- Use individualized communication tools to support self-expression
- Provide medication and diabetes care (training provided)
- Support emotional regulation and stress management
- Foster meaningful personal relationships
- Accurately complete required documentation and communicate with team members
- Participate in team meetings and required training
