We're expanding our team in Manassas, VA and are looking for dependable, compassionate, and motivated professionals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference every day. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll provide individualized support that promotes independence, community inclusion, and personal growth. You'll work alongside participants, families, and fellow team members to help individuals achieve their goals while creating meaningful experiences every day. This is an active, community-based position ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, encouraging independence, and making a lasting impact.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with at least two years of relevant work or life experience.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable personal transportation with current insurance
  • Ability to travel within the community
  • Ability to complete required federal, state, and local background screenings and drug screening
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • Experience in caregiving, education, human services, behavioral health, vocational services, or community-based programs.
  • Experience facilitating group activities or community integration.
  • Experience with electronic documentation systems

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals in achieving personal goals and developing daily living skills.
  • Assist with personal care and activities of daily living as needed.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and self-advocacy.
  • Support individuals during community outings, volunteer opportunities, recreational activities, and educational experiences.
  • Encourage participation in meaningful community engagement and social activities.
  • Facilitate recreational, educational, and life-skills activities that promote personal growth and social development.
  • Adapt activities to meet each individual's interests, strengths, and abilities.
  • Partner with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality person-centered services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using company technology and electronic records.
  • Follow agency policies, documentation standards, and safety procedures.
  • Promote a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment for every participant.
