About The Position
At EFR/ARISE, you can build meaningful relationships with others to make a difference. ARISE/EFR is seeking a caring person to provide 1:1 support for a young man with developmental disabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in his life by providing assistance so he can participate in everyday activities and achieve his goals, including independent living skills, communication, and his recreational activities. The ideal candidate is reliable, enthusiastic, playful, active, enjoys helping people, has great communication skills and is willing to provide personal care.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site at the scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support for a young man with developmental disabilities.
- Assist the individual in participating in everyday activities and achieving his goals.
- Support independent living skills, communication, and recreational activities.
- Engage in recreational activities such as going for walks, social activities, and visiting places like the YMCA, parks, and the zoo.
- Provide personal care.
