As a PAC DSP, you’ll spend your days helping create a meaningful day for the individuals, helping them become more independent and accomplish their goals, helping with daily living tasks such as using the personal hygiene, cleaning, eating, etc., helping them be a part of their community, celebrating small and big wins, growing in life skills, building trust and a relationship together and doing life alongside them, doing arts, crafts and creative things together, transporting individuals to and from facilities in compliance with safety regulations, playing games and doing fun activities, and maintaining timely and accurate records for billing, notes and other documentation. A PAC/Respite DSP provides direct support, instruction, and assistance to persons with disabilities (I/DD) living in the community. PAC is centered around the unique needs of each individual. The focus is on helping individuals successfully complete daily tasks, navigate their environment, and build independence in real-life situations.
