At Futures, our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) play a vital role in empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives. If you’re compassionate, dependable, and ready to do work that truly matters, we’d love to have you on our team. As a DSP, you’ll provide hands-on support and guidance to individuals in a residential group home setting.

Requirements

Passion for helping others and making an impact
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
Basic computer skills for documentation and training
Willingness to learn and follow state regulations and agency policies
Medication Administration Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Minimum of 24 hours of annual training (paid)
Pre-employment physical required
TB (Mantoux) test required upon hire
Compliance with state regulations (6100/6400) and agency policies
Must have a valid driver’s license
High school diploma or GED equivalent or experience in the field
No criminal record
Must be a U.S. citizen

Responsibilities

Supporting individuals with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, toileting, meals, etc.)
Administering medications (certification required/provided)
Implementing Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and documenting progress
Encouraging independence, skill-building, and personal growth
Supporting individuals in community activities and engagement
Responding to behavioral or crisis situations using positive, respectful approaches
Completing daily documentation in our electronic health record system
Maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive home environment (light housekeeping, shopping, laundry)
