This is a crisis group home that provides short-term, intensive support for children, teens, or adults experiencing emotional, behavioral, or mental health crises. The primary goal is to help each individual stabilize in a safe, structured environment so they can successfully transition back home or to the most appropriate long-term setting with a comprehensive support plan in place. The individuals supported in this home often have complex behavioral needs and may experience periods of emotional dysregulation. At times, this can include verbal aggression, physical aggression, property destruction, or attempts to leave the home without authorization (elopement). While these situations can be challenging, our team is provided with the training, tools, and support needed to respond safely and effectively. Success in this role requires consistency, patience, professionalism, and a commitment to following all company training, policies, behavior support plans, and individual care plans. By using approved intervention techniques and maintaining a calm, supportive approach, Direct Support Professionals play a critical role in helping individuals achieve stability and positive outcomes.
