About The Position

Bancroft is hiring for their children's programs, seeking Direct Support Professionals, ABA Direct Support Associates, Licensed Behavior Analysts, and LPNs. They are hosting walk-in interviews on Wednesday, September 23rd, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Welsh Campus Activity Center, located at 311 Walton Ave, Mt Laurel, NJ 08054. Candidates are advised to bring a resume and dress professionally. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid non- provisional Driver’s License in good standing
  • Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment with a minimum of 60 credits toward a degree in Special Education Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Social Work, Human Services or a related field (for ABA Direct Support Associates)
  • Master’s degree with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field, plus a minimum of two years of related experience with individuals with developmental disabilities (for Licensed Behavior Analyst)
  • BCBA certification required (for Licensed Behavior Analyst)
  • New Jersey licensure in behavior analysis is required (for Licensed Behavior Analyst)
  • Licensed Practical Nurse from an accredited Nursing program with a current and valid N.J. license required (for LPN)
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Work well in teams and are open to learning new skills
  • Have the ability and willingness to work weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a related field preferred, for more acute programs required (for Direct Support Professionals)
  • Current college students or recent graduates desired (for Direct Support Professionals)
  • A PhD in a related discipline is desirable (for Licensed Behavior Analyst)
  • Prior experience in functional assessment and treatment development is highly preferred (for Licensed Behavior Analyst)
  • Prior management experience is also preferred (for Licensed Behavior Analyst)
  • Prior nursing experience working with the developmentally disabled and/or the traumatically brain injured preferred (for LPN)

Responsibilities

  • Apply ABA therapy methods and techniques to teach important life skills and help children and teens achieve their goals
  • Carry out ABA behavioral treatment plans and help prepare individuals to eventually transition to other residential environments
  • Provide assistance with activities such as personal hygiene, social awareness, meal preparation, money management, and housekeeping
  • Empower children to develop skills for daily life
  • Encourage their independence through personalized plans of care
  • Plan events and outings to build the Bancroft community
  • Belong to supportive team that holds one another accountable
  • Communicate with residents, families, and guardians
