About The Position
Learning Services, a Collage Rehabilitation Partner, is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive Direct Support Professional to support adults with brain injuries in an adult neurorehabilitation setting. The role involves implementing rehabilitation strategies and providing guidance, support, and encouragement to help clients work toward personal independence in a safe, home-like environment. The position is part-time, on the overnight third shift from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., and requires availability to work a consistent weekend day. The role is based in Riverton, Utah.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and a record of responsible driving behavior.
- Ability to travel and/or operate a vehicle for up to 20% of working time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work the 11 p.m.–7 a.m. third shift and a consistent weekend day.
Responsibilities
- Assist, guide, and encourage clients with activities of daily living, community living skills, and personalized rehabilitation goals.
- Assist with medication administration as assigned, monitor nutrition plans, and prepare balanced meals.
- Support clients through challenging situations and implement behavior management plans while maintaining professional boundaries and mutual trust.
- Observe clients for behavioral, emotional, cognitive, or physical changes and alert the treatment team.
- Safely transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, group outings, errands, and recreational activities.
- Complete shift documentation, including daily data sheets, goal sheets, vital and seizure flow sheets, supervision checklists, and incident reports, in compliance with CARF, state, and federal standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming living environment in alignment with licensing requirements.
- Participate in shift hand-offs, review operational communications, and collaborate with family members, care teams, and leadership.
