About The Position

Direct Support Professionals are at the heart of Fello's mission. In this role, you will support people with disabilities, partnering with them to build independence, practice self-advocacy, and make meaningful choices about their own lives. Direct Support Professionals provide support with daily living activities at home and in the community, including meal preparation, personal care, and maintaining a healthy living environment. They deliver services outlined in each person's Person-Centered Plan, ensuring goals are developed, implemented, and that progress benchmarks are met. They also monitor and report any concerns about an individual's living conditions to ensure compliance with Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) and OHCQ regulations. This role may also involve administering medication in accordance with applicable training, certification, and nursing oversight requirements. The ideal candidate is a team player who responds to changes and challenges in a calm and productive manner, with a demonstrated ability to provide support in a respectful way that honors the various needs of the people we support. They communicate in a timely and professional manner with persons supported, their families, coworkers, and other stakeholders. Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn technology tools used to support people with disabilities are required. This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent. Candidates must be able to complete all required Fello and DDA trainings, including Certified Medication Technician certification.
