Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Current driver's license along with a motor vehicle record that meets DDRC Policy.
- Willingness to drive a large van and a variety of vehicles.
- Basic computer skills will aid in necessary documentation.
- A willingness to learn, a problem-solving mindset, and a compassionate spirit are essential traits that will empower you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of paid work or related volunteer experience, particularly with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Empathy and a genuine passion for supporting others are vital.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment throughout the night while individuals are sleeping
- Complete overnight checks and respond as needed to ensure health, safety, and comfort
- Provide individualized supports when needed, respecting dignity, choice, and independence
- Complete household tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and preparing for the day ahead
- Accurately complete timely, detailed documentation and overnight reports
- Support any needs that may arise overnight in a respectful, age-appropriate way
- Help create a welcoming, organized home that reflects the preferences and needs of the people who live there
