About The Position

Fitzmaurice Community Services, Inc. (FCS), a nonprofit serving adults with behavioral health and intellectual disabilities, is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide individualized support and care in a licensed community residential facility. The role supports clients’ independence, dignity, and quality of life through assistance with daily living skills, personal care, and community engagement. The position is part-time, 32 hours per week, scheduled Friday through Monday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Paid training is provided, and no prior experience is required. Benefits include 403(b) and AFLAC. Employees who are NADSP certified may receive a $500 incentive after completing the 90-day probationary period.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to pass and maintain Medication Certification and CPR/First Aid certifications.
Must provide and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license.
Must be insurable under company policy.

Responsibilities

Provide intensive individual support and personal care services to clients.
Promote independence and autonomy by teaching daily living and behavior management skills.
Engage clients in structured activities that encourage growth and participation.
Complete required documentation promptly, including time and attendance records, daily logs, progress notes, and monthly reports.
Participate in ongoing communication and planning for individualized program implementation.
Administer medications and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Use the least intrusive intervention methods to support clients effectively.
Encourage community integration through the use of public resources and recreational opportunities.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information.
