Direct Support Professional - Day Programs
About The Position
Living Resources is seeking Direct Support Professionals for its Day Community Opportunity Program in Westchester County. The role supports individuals with disabilities who are independent within the community, helping them participate in community activities and volunteering while working toward their short- and long-term goals. DSPs work as part of a compassionate, collaborative team and alongside families to provide support that promotes dignity, independence, and fuller, more active lives. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pay is up to $20.75 per hour, depending on the program.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid New York State driver’s license required for transporting individuals to community activities and appointments.
- Must be able to perform all tasks requiring lifting, repositioning, and transferring without restriction.
- Compassion, patience, adaptability, reliability, attentiveness, and a collaborative approach.
- Interest in learning, developing new skills, and making a difference.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals with disabilities in participating in community activities and volunteering.

- Transport individuals to community activities and appointments.
- Perform tasks involving lifting, repositioning, and transferring individuals.
