About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join their team at their program in Jenkintown. This role involves creating long-term impacts on consumers' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. The day-to-day activities include following Individual Support Plans, engaging in activities like visiting parks and sensory gardens, working on social and communication skills, and assisting with daily hygiene and personal care to enhance independence. The role also focuses on teaching individuals to navigate daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry, fostering a sense of pride.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Nice To Haves

• Verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D. preferred.
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
