About The Position

BAYADA is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), also described as Special Needs Caregivers, to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role helps people build confidence, gain independence, and achieve personal goals while creating meaningful connections. Positions are available in Mt. Airy and Elkin, North Carolina. Pay is $16.00 per hour, with weekly pay, flexible part-time schedules, multiple shifts, and work close to home. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Reliable transportation and ability to drive clients to community activities.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals participate in community activities and social events.
• Provide encouragement, mentorship, and meaningful companionship.
• Support personal care needs, including dressing and grooming.
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and community outings.
• Empower individuals to reach their goals and live as independently as possible.
