The Bob Rumball Canadian Centre of Excellence for the Deaf (BRCCED) is a provincial leader in the Deaf community. Our mission is to provide care and opportunities in a communication-rich environment that enhances the quality of life of those we serve. We are a highly motivated, collaborative team on a mission to improve the quality of life for those we serve. We take a person centered approach that aims to support and make a positive difference in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. Reporting to the Program Manager, and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, this position is responsible for the day-to-day support of group and individual skill building activities. The Community Participation Support /Day program provides onsite, community or virtual based support to individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (whose primary language is in ASL). The individual participants require a communication rich setting, and may display complex behavioural, mental health and developmental needs.
