About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disability to help them reach their full potential. This role involves providing personal care assistance, accompanying clients on errands and appointments, engaging in hobbies, assisting with daily tasks like meal preparation, and participating in community integration activities.

Requirements

• One year experience working / volunteering with intellectual and development disabilities
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming, basic hygiene)
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Participate in community integration activities
