About The Position

Blue Sky Inc is looking for a dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Individualized Home Supports (IHS) to an individual in their home and community. This part-time position offers approximately 6-12 hours per week, primarily during morning hours, and is a great opportunity for someone seeking a consistent, flexible schedule. The role involves providing person-centered support based on the individual's needs, preferences, and goals, helping them maintain independence, work toward personal goals, and participate in their community.

Requirements

• Be dependable, patient, respectful, and comfortable working independently
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Be able to complete required training and background study requirements
• Meet applicable Minnesota DHS requirements for providing direct support services
• Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Female staff are required for this specific assignment due to the individual’s service-related privacy needs and the essential duties of this particular position.

Responsibilities

• Supporting independence and skill development
• Providing assistance with household tasks and organization
• Supporting community activities, appointments, errands, and other activities as needed
• Providing transportation when required as part of scheduled services
• Encouraging choice, independence, and community involvement
• Maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality
• Completing required documentation and service notes accurately and on time
• Following the individual’s support plan and all applicable company and Minnesota DHS requirements
