Direct Support Professional - Day Services - Penn Yan
About The Position
Mozaic is hiring a Direct Support Professional for its Day Services program in Penn Yan, New York. The role supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in building skills, developing independence, and pursuing personal goals. The DSP provides encouragement, guidance, and hands-on support as participants take part in community activities, explore interests, develop everyday skills, and build confidence. The position offers opportunities to form meaningful connections and contribute to participants’ progress through person-centered care. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, for 37.5 hours per week, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed. The location is Yates County (Penn Yan, NY). Mozaic describes itself as a not-for-profit organization in the Finger Lakes Region that provides services and residential facilities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and advocates for more than 2,000 people with disabilities in the area.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Dependable, caring, and passionate about helping others succeed.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities, or an associate degree in human services or a related field; this is preferred.
