About The Position
RISE is seeking a Direct Support Professional for its Emmett Day Center. RISE provides person-centered services and practical, professional, and personal growth opportunities for children, adults, and their families. The organization supports people with diverse needs in homes and community-based settings. The Direct Support Professional leads activities such as cooking, arts and crafts, and community-based outings. These activities help individuals develop independent living skills, build friendships, and socialize with peers, with the aim of supporting each person in achieving the highest quality of life possible.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and car insurance.
- Must provide or obtain CPR/First Aid Certification; certification is provided by RISE.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to people receiving support.
- Collaborate and coordinate services with treatment team members in various settings.
- Ensure documentation for services rendered is accurate, compliant, and timely.
- Serve as an appropriate role model and support people in using appropriate language, dress, table manners, respect, and other behaviors as needed.
- Lead activities such as cooking, arts and crafts, and community-based activities to support independent living skills and socialization.
