About The Position
GoodLife Innovations is seeking 1:1 Direct Support Professionals to teach daily living skills, provide care and companionship, and engage in functional activities with specific clients with behavioral needs. This role involves working one-on-one with a client assisting with their specific behavioral needs, providing continuous and high-quality attention, interaction, and engagement in activities, and helping the client reduce challenging behaviors by teaching appropriate replacement behaviors.
Requirements
- Must successfully pass criminal background check
- Must be able to remain calm in escalated situations
- Must have the physical strength necessary to assist this client during challenging behaviors
- Ability to safely and confidently intervene during challenging behaviors
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

- Experience working with clients with disruptive or aggressive behaviors
Responsibilities
- Working one-on-one with a client assisting with their specific behavioral needs
- Providing continuous and high-quality attention, interaction, and engagement in activities
- Helping client reduce challenging behaviors (physical aggression) by teaching appropriate replacement behaviors
- Implementing behavioral procedures for preventing and responding to challenging behaviors
- Observing, documenting, and reporting data on daily activities
