Damar is looking for passionate Direct Support Professionals to perform a variety of tasks related to the care of Adult clients living in our Damar Villages.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 to work in our Community Living and Support Services program
- Be able to provide formal proof of a high school diploma or GED
- Possess a valid Indiana driver’s license and good driving record
- Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
- Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of appropriate daily living, self-help and social skills
- Help maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Provide support to clients and their community-based goals
- Respond to and manage crisis situations
- Client supervision and care
- Crisis management
- Promoting appropriate social behaviors
- Supporting clients in achieving their maximum potential
