About The Position

Direct Support Professional (DSP) RHD | Community-Based Services $18.00/hour Shifts: 7a-3pm Sunday-Thursday 11p-7a Sunday- Thursday 3-11p Tuesday - Saturday Are you passionate about supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities? RHD is seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide hands-on support to individuals living in community-based homes. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in helping individuals live safely, independently, and with dignity while achieving their personal goals.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Basic computer skills (email, documentation systems, time entry).
Valid driver’s license.
Must pass required background screenings (including FBI clearance, if applicable).

Nice To Haves

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Prior experience in human services preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide supervision and support in accordance with each individual’s Person-Centered Support Plan.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and toileting as needed.
Administer medications in accordance with training and program guidelines.
Provide transportation to appointments and community activities.
Support individuals in accessing medical care, benefits, and community resources.
Encourage healthy, socially appropriate behaviors through positive reinforcement and structured support.
Assist individuals in participating in community activities and social events.
Promote independence and skill-building in home and community settings.
Collaborate with clinical staff to implement residential interventions.
Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
