About The Position

Join The Arc Carroll County as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in our Community Living Department! Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 current points
• Computer skills and ability to learn new systems
• Ability to pass drug screening and criminal background check
• Willingness to complete all required trainings including DDA trainings, CPR, First Aid, and Medication Certification
• Ability to lift and assist with transfers
• Ability to stand, bend, push, pull, and reposition individuals as needed
• Ability to safely assist with wheelchairs, lifts, and transportation supports

Nice To Haves

• Med Certification preferred, but not required
• DSP experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Assisting with daily living skills and personal goals
• Supporting cooking, laundry, and household tasks
• Providing personal care assistance
• Administering medications
• Transporting residents to activities and appointments
• Encouraging independence, community involvement, and meaningful experiences
