About The Position

Join The Arc Carroll County as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in our Community Living Department! We support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living fulfilling, self-directed lives. Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 current points
Computer skills and ability to learn new systems
Ability to pass drug screening and criminal background check
Willingness to complete all required trainings including DDA trainings, CPR, First Aid, and Medication Certification
Ability to lift and assist with transfers
Ability to stand, bend, push, pull, and reposition individuals as needed
Ability to safely assist with wheelchairs, lifts, and transportation supports

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential home setting.
Assist with daily living skills and personal goals.
Support cooking, laundry, and household tasks.
Provide personal care assistance.
Administer medications.
Transport residents to activities and appointments.
Encourage independence, community involvement, and meaningful experiences.
