Requirements
- A solid understanding of supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
- A keen awareness of health, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Familiarity with personal care and daily living assistance.
- A grasp of confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Communication skills: ability to listen actively, speak clearly, and document accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and positive relationships.
- Ability to solve problems calmly and adapt to surprises.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Capability to work independently.
- A valid driver's license.
- Physical ability to assist with daily activities.
- Understanding of confidentiality and person-centered supports.
- General knowledge of community resources and activities.
- Build trust, patience, and positive relationships.
- Problem solving and time management skills.
- Collaborate effectively with coworkers, families, and supervisors.
- Hold a valid driver's license with a safe driving record to transport individuals safely.
- Assist with daily activities, household tasks, and occasional lifting/mobility support.
Responsibilities
- Complete safety checks throughout the night.
- Assist with personal care needs.
