Requirements

  • A solid understanding of supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
  • A keen awareness of health, safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Familiarity with personal care and daily living assistance.
  • A grasp of confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Communication skills: ability to listen actively, speak clearly, and document accurately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and positive relationships.
  • Ability to solve problems calmly and adapt to surprises.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Capability to work independently.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Physical ability to assist with daily activities.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and person-centered supports.
  • General knowledge of community resources and activities.
  • Build trust, patience, and positive relationships.
  • Problem solving and time management skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with coworkers, families, and supervisors.
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a safe driving record to transport individuals safely.
  • Assist with daily activities, household tasks, and occasional lifting/mobility support.

Responsibilities
