About The Position
We are seeking a full-time Awake Over Night Weekend Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on care to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. The role includes assisting with personal hygiene, activities and outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning. The position supports females at Perry Falls in Baltimore County. The schedule is Friday 10 p.m.–8 a.m., Saturday 10 p.m.–8 a.m., and Sunday 10 p.m.–9 a.m. The rate of pay is $23 per hour. The position is classified as non-exempt under the FLSA.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current driver’s license (not provisional) with fewer than 3 points on the driving record.
- Ability to transport people supported as needed.
- Some lifting and transferring may be required.
- Must be at least 20 years of age.
- At least 2 years of driving experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with participation in and exploration of the community.
- Cultivate and expand independent living skills.
- Provide assistance with personal hygiene, activities and outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning.
- Assist with the development of meaningful and personal relationships.
- Complete required documentation, including incident reports, progress notes, behavior data, and fire drills.
- Administer and record medications pursuant to state and agency requirements, when applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
