About The Position

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide one-on-one care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them build confidence, strengthen everyday skills, and live more independently in the comfort of their own homes. This role involves providing compassionate, one-on-one care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes. The goal is to help individuals live more independent and fulfilling lives.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• High school diploma or equivalent (18+)
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts and locations
• Reliable transportation and ability to drive clients to activities
• Willingness to travel between clients within your assigned area

Responsibilities

• Provide support with daily routines and personal care
• Help individuals build life skills and maintain independence
• Offer encouragement, consistency, and meaningful companionship
• Support engagement at home and within the community
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments.
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation.
• Participate in community integration activities.
• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming, etc.)
