About The Position

Robin Hill Farm is seeking a passionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join their dedicated team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting and caring for residents, helping them lead fulfilling and independent lives. You will provide compassionate assistance and supervision, ensuring their safety and well-being while contributing to the smooth operation of the program. This role requires you to be a positive role model, advocate, and communicator, working closely with residents, families, and the care team. Robin Hill Farm, an affiliate of Rehab Without Walls, provides community-based cognitive rehabilitation for adults with brain injuries. Their programs offer residential treatment and can be considered a long-term alternative to institutional living, or a short-term step towards return to home, with the objective to provide support for residents in the least restrictive environment possible.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have a valid driver’s license
Ability to work in a group home, home-like setting
Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external

Responsibilities

Performing personal care tasks, including feeding, ambulation, and medical monitoring
Assist with fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their housemates
Ensuring client safety and maintaining a safe environment
Encouraging self-help activities
Accompanying clients to scheduled appointments
