About The Position

Search Dental is a well-established and growing practice in the Mechanicsburg area. We are seeking a Full-Time Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team. Requirements

Active EFDA license for Pennsylvania (Or expected in the next 3 months)
CPR certification (in-house training available)
PA X-Ray License
Strong communication skills to foster team spirit and ease patient concerns
Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control procedures

Nice To Haves

Prior experience using dental software, including Open Dental
Experience with adult and pediatric patients is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for procedures and ensure comfort.
Take radiographs for diagnostics.
Set up and maintain treatment rooms.
Review and update patient dental records.
Assist with placing and contouring fillings.
Support in placing sealants and restorations.
Able to complete coronal polishing, fluoride applications, and oral hygiene education.
Sterilize equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
Provide post-procedure care instructions to patients
