About the Role These positions are considered essential personnel and would be required to work in the event of an emergency or facility need. All SEVTC positions are required to work different shifts and/or overtime as requested. Assist individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and support for mobility . Utilize behavior management strategies to support individuals exhibiting maladaptive behaviors. Provide emotional and behavioral support while promoting independence. Implement behavior intervention plans and work collaboratively with a support team. Foster a safe, structured, and positive environment. Shift hours: 10:30 p.m. – 7:00 am Shift Differential is available for this shift: Night shift weekday $2.25/hr. Night shift weekend $3.00/hr. All new hires must successfully complete the facility’s pre-service training program for Direct Support Professional Staff, to include Person Centered Approach techniques, CPR/First Aid Certification, TOVA, medication administration, nutritional management and physical/behavioral management, for continued employment. Training in behavior management and crisis intervention is available. (Preservice training class is 10 days long 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday - Friday).
