About The Position

Wall Residences provides high-quality community services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a full-time and part-time, experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for Supported Living and In-Home Care services in the Augusta County, VA area to include Staunton, Waynesboro, Fishersville, Churchville and Greenville. Bilingual candidates with English and Spanish preferred. Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends and be available for occasional on-call work as needed.

Requirements

• Experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
• Bilingual candidates with English and Spanish preferred.
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends.
• Available for occasional on-call work as needed.
• Detail-oriented.
• Able to keep accurate notes.
• Hiring dependent on references and criminal background check free of barrier crimes.
• Active driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
• Minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
• No more than 2 moving violations or accidents within past 3 years.
• No major violations within past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, meal planning, cooking, and organizing.
• Help individuals enrich their own lives through exploring volunteer opportunities.
• Support personal care needs.
• Provide transportation.
• Provide any needed advocacy for medical/dental appointments.
• Assist with medication administration.
• Keep accurate notes to ensure continuity of quality care.
• Act as mandated reporters of abuse and neglect for individuals with disabilities.
