About The Position
Wall Residences provides high-quality community services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking full-time and part-time, experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSP's) for our Supported Living and In-Home Care services in the Lynchburg, VA areas to include Lynchburg, Madison Heights, Amherst, Concord, Bedford, and Forest.
Requirements
- Must be flexible to work evenings or weekends if needed.
- Detail-oriented.
- Active driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
- Minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
- No more than 2 moving violations or accidents within past 3 years.
- No major violations within past 5 years.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, meal planning, cooking, and organizing.
- Help individuals enrich their own lives through exploring volunteer opportunities.
- Support personal care needs.
- Provide transportation.
- Provide any needed advocacy for medical/dental appointments.
- Assist with medication administration.
- Keep accurate notes to ensure continuity of quality care.
