About The Position

Mozaic (A Chapter of The Arc NY) is seeking compassionate and caring individuals to join their team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). In this role, you will build meaningful relationships and empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live the lives they choose. Your support will help individuals reach personal goals, learn new skills, participate in their community, and navigate daily routines, making a lasting impact.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid NYS Driver's License

Nice To Haves

• Experience with developmental disabilities is valued
• Experience as a CNA, Health Aide, Caregiver, or DSP is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support people with disabilities in achieving their personal goals, building independence, and living fulfilling lives in a residential setting.
• Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal care, and household responsibilities.
• Encourage community involvement, social connections, and meaningful experiences.
• Provide transportation to appointments, events, and activities.
• Follow individualized support plans that promote choice, dignity, and respect.
• Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and other support team members to deliver quality, person-centered support.
• Act as a trusted advocate, mentor, and source of encouragement.
