About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join their team at their program in Marlton, NJ. This role involves creating long-term impacts on individuals' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. The DSP will foster pride in individuals by teaching daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry. Work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager. The role enhances independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
Prefer candidates have their own transportation.

Responsibilities

Encouraging, mentoring, and coaching individuals to achieve their goals.
Teaching individuals to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry.
Assisting with daily and personal activities to enhance independence.
