Direct Support Professional - Independent Contractor (RG)
About The Position
InReach is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work as an Independent Contractor for a male individual with Developmental Disabilities in the Charlotte area (28270). The role involves providing Respite and Community Living and Support Services for approximately 35-40 hours per week. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, with flexible timing. The pay rate for Respite services is $16.07/hr, and for Community Living Services (CLS) is $20.35/hr. As an Independent Contractor, you will receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party vendor for direct deposits. Contractors are responsible for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check

- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population
Responsibilities
- Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
- Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
- Facilitate community integration.
