About The Position
InReach is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) as Independent Contractors to provide Community Living and Support and Respite Services for a female individual with Developmental Disabilities in the Charlotte area (28277). This role involves providing companionship, care, and support to help the individual integrate into the community, develop social habits, and manage daily living activities. The position offers flexible scheduling with potential for up to 60 hours per week.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population
Responsibilities
- Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
- Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
- Facilitate community integration.
- Help individual develop healthy social habits.
- Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
- Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
