Direct Support Professional - Independent Contractor (JS)
About The Position
InReach provides a wide variety of services to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. We are hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) willing to make a difference in someone's life by providing companionship, care, and support. InReach needs a DSP (Independent Contractor) for a male Individual with Developmental Disabilities in the Charlotte area, 28273. Staff will provide Day Supports and Respite Services for 18 hours a week. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays: 9a-3p. The pay rate for Day Supports is $22.52/hr and for Respite is $16.07/hr.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred.
Responsibilities
- Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
- Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
- Facilitate community integration.
- Help individual develop healthy social habits.
- Dispense medication and monitoring dosages.
- Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
