Wall Residences provides high-quality community services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a part-time, experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our In-Home Care services in the Pearisburg area of Giles County, Virginia. This position will be part-time evenings - Tues, Wed, and Thur from 5:30 - 10:00pm.

Requirements

• Active driver’s license with acceptable driving record required that meets the following guidelines: Minimum of 3 years of driving experience, No more than 2 moving violations or accidents within past 3 years, No major violations within past 5 years.
• References and criminal background check free of barrier crimes.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, meal planning, cooking, and organizing.
• Help individuals enrich their own lives through exploring volunteer opportunities.
• Support personal care needs.
• Provide transportation.
• Provide any needed advocacy for medical/dental appointments.
• Assist with medication administration.
• Keep accurate notes to ensure continuity of quality care.
