About The Position
As a Direct Support Professional II, you will assist adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives, supporting independence, health, and personal growth. Every day, you’ll help create a supportive, structured, and empowering environment for the individuals you serve.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Valid in-state driver’s license
- Must be 21+ years old
- Current vehicle registration & insurance
- Driving record with no more than 2 points in the past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must successfully complete all pre-employment requirements, including background check and health screening.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of personal or professional experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities (e.g., Autism) or mental health conditions (e.g., Bipolar) strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Assisting with hygiene, grooming, dietary, and dressing needs
- Supporting clients with bathroom needs
- Changing clothing/undergarments when necessary
- Preparing meals and completing cleanup
- Following daily routines outlined in the Individual Program Plan (IPP)
- Redirecting behaviors through activities like walking, reading, games, math, and computer tasks
- Providing safe transportation in company vans when required
