Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Current AMAP (Approved Medication Administration Personnel) Certification required.
Current SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention) Certification required.
Must pass all required background screening and pre-employment requirements.

Nice To Haves

Previous DSP, HHA, CNA, or related healthcare experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
Administer medications as authorized under AMAP guidelines.
Promote independence, dignity, and community integration.
Document services and daily progress accurately.
Support behavioral intervention plans using SCIP techniques.
Maintain a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
Transport individuals to appointments and community activities, if required.
