About The Position

ViaQuest Residential Services is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. Comprehensive training is provided, so no prior experience is required. This role offers an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the individuals served and is ideal for those seeking a career in healthcare or looking to gain experience in the IDD field.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Personal, reliable vehicle that can be used to transport individuals served.
• Valid driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Ability to push, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb, balance, kneel, and crouch.

• Candidates without experience are welcome as training is provided.

• Nursing assistants and those interested in pursuing a career as an STNA.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities to foster independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety.
• Supervising, teaching, and assisting individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Completing household tasks such as meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.
