Family Relief ResourcesPortland, OR
$23 - $25Hybrid

About The Position

Family Relief Resources (FRR) is seeking a caring and attentive Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support two loving and friendly 8-year-old twin girls who thrive on connection and opportunities to be independent. They enjoy socializing, playing indoors/outdoors and exploring their community. The ideal candidate is someone who is friendly, patient, understanding and is able to provide routine and structure. This role is perfect for someone who can both be a supportive caregiver and a positive companion who respects, values and empowers the client’s voice and individuality. One of the clients uses a manual wheelchair and requires physical assistance for transfers. The family also needs support with this client’s catheterization, enemas, and daily bowel flushes. Both of the clients may require prompting and support with personal care tasks such as hygiene, toileting, bathing and dressing. Both of the clients benefit from somebody who can keep up with their physical therapy exercises and provide opportunities to practice balance and coordination. This position is also well-suited for someone who can help create opportunities for social interaction and support the development of pro-social skills and friendships.
