About The Position

At ViaQuest Residential Services, Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. Comprehensive training is provided for this role, making prior experience unnecessary. This is an opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of the individuals served.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.
