About The Position

Fitzmaurice Community Services, Inc. (FCS) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1966, dedicated to supporting adults with behavioral health and intellectual disabilities. We aim to empower clients to achieve independence, individuality, productivity, and inclusion in the community. FCS provides environments that promote growth, success, and friendships through diverse programs and services, fostering a nurturing and supportive community where individuals can unlock their full potential. We are seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide individualized support and care in a licensed community residential facility. DSPs assist individuals with daily living skills, personal care, and community engagement, promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Requirements

18 years or older
Ability to pass and maintain Medication Certification & CPR/First Aid Certifications
Provide and Maintain a Valid U.S. Driver’s License and insurable under company policy

Responsibilities

Provide intensive individual support and personal care services to clients.
Promote independence and autonomy by teaching daily living and behavior management skills.
Engage clients in structured activities that encourage growth and participation.
Complete all required documentation promptly, including time and attendance, daily logs, progress notes, and monthly reports.
Participate in ongoing communication and planning for individualized program implementation.
Administer medications and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Use the least intrusive intervention methods to support clients effectively.
Foster community integration by encouraging the use of public resources and recreational opportunities.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information.
