About The Position

We are seeking a Full Time Personal Supports (DSP) to provide hands-on care to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities providing assistance with personal hygiene, activities/ outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning. Support a young man in the Lutherville area with activities at home and in the community. Work on skills to increase independence at home and in the community. Staff should be patient, respectful, trustworthy, and able to encourage and participate in living a fun and fulfilling life.

Requirements

• High school degree/GED
• Current driver’s license with less than three points on the driving record.

• Assisting with participation and exploration of the community
• Cultivating and expanding independent living skills
• Assisting with the development of meaningful and personal relationships
• Implementing strategies to achieve individuals’ personal goals.
• Providing hands-on care to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities
• Assisting with personal hygiene, activities/ outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning.
• Supporting a young man with activities at home and in the community.
• Working on skills to increase independence at home and in the community.
