About The Position

Community Access Services (CAS) is hiring a Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our Day Support Activities (DSA) program. This role focuses on supporting individuals in community-based environments, helping them build skills, gain independence, and actively engage in their local community. No experience required — paid training provided!

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to become an approved company driver
  • Ability to pass a national background check
  • Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility support
  • Dependable and committed to person-centered support

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in caregiving, human services, or community-based support is a plus—but not required
  • Comfortable working in varied community environments rather than a single site
  • Strong engagement skills and ability to adapt to different settings

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized, person-centered support in community environments
  • Support participation in activities such as recreation and local outings
  • Promote social interaction, inclusion, and positive peer relationships
  • Facilitate and adapt engaging, skill-building activities based on individual interests and goals
  • Maintain documentation and follow individualized support plans (training provided)
  • Collaborate with team members to create meaningful, person-centered experiences
  • Assist with personal care needs as needed while maintaining dignity and respect
  • Ensure safety in a variety of community settings
