Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Personal Health Care - PT
About The Position
Join a caring nonprofit that empowers individuals with disabilities and autism to live with independence, dignity, and inclusion! This is an ongoing part-time position, not a summer job. Triangle Disability & Autism Services (TDAS) is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an independent self-advocate with cerebral palsy in her daily living activities and community engagement. The role involves providing personal hands-on care, including dressing, hygiene, mobility support, and medication administration. The DSP will also provide transportation using the individual's wheelchair-accessible van and complete online documentation after each shift. This position is located in a private home in Wendell, NC.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Individual prefers female staff only
- Experience supporting individuals with personal and healthcare needs required
Responsibilities
- Support an independent self-advocate with cerebral palsy in her daily living activities and community engagement
- Provide personal hands-on care, including dressing, hygiene, mobility support, and medication administration
- Provide transportation using the individual's wheelchair-accessible van
- Complete online documentation after each shift
