About The Position

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at ViaQuest Residential Services provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. The goal is to foster increased independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety needs are met. This role involves supervising, teaching, and assisting individuals in all aspects of their lives, completing household tasks such as meal preparation and maintaining a clean living environment, and providing personal care assistance. Training for this position is provided in its entirety, making it suitable for candidates without prior experience, those interested in a healthcare career, nursing assistants, and individuals seeking experience while taking classes or without a degree. The company is looking for candidates of all ages, from high school graduates to retirees.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED
• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.
