DSP Independent Contractor Concord NC SP
About The Position
InReach is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) as Independent Contractors to provide Day Support Services and Community Living and Support Services for a young male individual with developmental disabilities in Concord, NC. This role involves providing companionship, care, and support, including instruction and assistance in home living, facilitating community integration, helping the individual develop healthy social habits, dispensing medication, and transporting the individual to various activities. The position requires the ability to handle behavior challenges and pets in the home. This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week, with additional weekend hours available.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check
- Ability to handle behavior challenges
- Ability to handle pets in the home
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction and assistance in home living environments.
- Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
- Facilitate community integration.

- Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
