About The Position

Help at Home is hiring caregivers in your community today! As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), you’ll work 1-on-1 with clients who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, supporting them in their homes and community. You’ll help bridge communication and ensure clients receive compassionate, person-centered care.

Requirements

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) required
• Letter of Reference showing at least 1 year of experience
• Access to insured and reliable transportation
• Dedication to professional development, including organizational and state-required training
• Caregivers must comply with state background screening requirements.

Nice To Haves

• No experience required — paid training provided

Responsibilities

• Using ASL and visual communication to engage with your clients
• Light housekeeping, including organizing and basic cleaning
• Personal activities such as dressing, grooming, and assisting with meals
• Accompanying clients to appointments or community activities
• Supporting your clients in achieving their goals as assigned by the Individual Support Team (IST)
